Royal Orchid Metropole Mysore is quite an old hotel. It comes in the category of 2 star hotels. The staff is quite well behaved and hospitable. The rooms are basic and they have the necessary furniture in place. The rooms are big and all of them have a balcony from where you can have a glimpse of the city. The rooms are a little bit on the higher side in terms of price.
All bathrooms have a bathtub and 24 hours hot and cold running water. The in house restaurant serves South Indian breakfast in the morning but in the evening you have a choice of only North Indian food. The hotel has sprawling green gardens in the backyard. The furniture of the room is dark wooden and it represents the colonial times.
The balcony is really a nice place to sit and spend your evenings. It is quite spacious and the view from the balcony is splendid. The restaurant called Tiger Trail is in the courtyard.
