The hotel staff is excellent and warm. There are beautiful photos of Mysore city and the kings adorning the walls of the rooms. Even the children will enjoy their stay in the hotel. The restaurant serves good South Indian cuisine as well as other types of cuisines.
The rooms are very spacious and they have antique furniture that transfers you in the medieval times. The maintenance could be a little better though. The reception staff is warm and they can help you out with your sight seeing arrangements, car rental, foreign exchange and safe deposit box.
Lalitha Palace is centrally located and hence you can reach the railway station or airport in pretty quick time. Overall this hotel is a good hotel which is not so expensive and not so cheap. However your staying experience in Mysore will definitely be different.
